Norton Deposit Info, It's Demise & It’s New Owners

  1. I saw that earlier but it won’t go anywhere, just makes people feel a bit better. To be a bit more grounded in this, just coz x thousand sign a petition doesn’t mean charges will be brought. Charges will only be brought if the CPS, based upon the evidence put before them think there is a better than evens chance of securing a conviction AND it’s in the public interest. Fraud is notoriously hard to prosecute and prove. I still believe there’ll be no criminal charges, he’ll be censured by the Pension Ombudsman and forbidden for life from being a pension trustee and censured by the Govt and banned as a company director for 10 years. None of which will recover any money for the pensioners or creditors.

    I hope I’m wrong.

  2. ^^Still though, how is it not theft? You can call it fraud, but as it was done deliberately to remove peoples money, it surely is also theft? What an arsehole, hope he gets dealt to!

  3. I hope you are totally wrong. The Ombudsman have been a little more interested in chasing the pension fraud guys of late, so there is a chance that this scuzzer will lose his castle and Aston Martins for stealing millions of peoples pensions.

  4. In moral terms I don’t disagree, in legal terms, there’s a world of difference. Fraud is a more serious crime. It may be easier to charge with theft but that depends on the facts, the Crown would have to prove he intended to permanently deprive pensioners of their funds. His barrister would argue he didn’t, he intended to make them money.

  7. Yep, I read that article Sev and certainly it appears the money he originally used was obtained by nefarious means but starting a petition to get the Govt to initiate fraud proceedings, IMHO, just won't fly, it'll be decided as I stated above regardless of any petition - unfortunately.

  8. Fraud is also a crime. But I bet he will have committed no crime. Just one morally.
It’s how all the entrepreneurs make money...

  9. Whoa, Not *all* of them Bradders, just some of them :no_mouth:
You can't tar them all with the same brush.
Garner may well think he has been treated poorly (he must do, he keeps saying it) but there is no doubt in my opinion that he has a very skewed view of business, and clearly not the way *most* entrepreneurs run their businesses...

  17. Wow, just watched this, I thought he was a shady fecker when he took half share of Spondon and it went under.
Jeezus, he must have some protection from the elite, maybe he has starred in a porcine video with certain members of the establishment too!
This criminal should be brought to justice, do we have a extradition treaty with Botswana?
