Hi all! I have an odd, and probably cheeky favour to ask!! Im in the Forces, based at Brize Norton, and I have been put in charge of organising the raffle for this years families day on 22nd June. Thing is, im being given no money to get anything so I am having to throw myself at the mercy of human kindness! I was wondering if anyone here who runs their own business would be able to make a small donation of any kind? It doesnt have to be a big, expensive prize (not that i would turn it away!!) even a £5 bottle of plonk would be greatfully received! Equally, if people who are employees think their boss may be able to help, pm me their contact details and i will get in touch with them direct. I know this is a big ask, but any help really would be greatfully received and will go a long way to ensuring we provide a good day for the families who support us throughout the year! Please pm me if you can help or offer any advice!! Thank you all!
Hi I organized a raffle for the Air Ambulance for the UKMOC The following all donated a prize Rizoma Forcefield Buff Silverstone Rock Oil to name a few - its well worth sending a small polite email to any companies who you feel would donate a prize to your particular cause Asking doesnt cost anything and you may be suprised by the responce Char
Thanks Char, I will try those! Tried Silverstone, and every other track in the uk and every one of them said thanks but no thanks! To be fair, they must get loads of blagging all the time so they have to be quite selective. Pushed out 50+ emails over the weekend and have so far got donations from 5 of them. Wish me luck!!
20+ years ago People at my place of work decided to organise a fund raising effort on behalf of a baby that suffered a terrible attack and was severley disabled as a result We ran a raffle but also for the more expensive donations we had a raffle We also had a sponsored motorcycle ride where we visited prearranged places ending in Edinburgh and then riding back. The prearranged places had collected things I can't recall a lot of them but I know in Edinburgh we got a 25 year old bottle of Malt and some Haggis donated All we did was visit as many local businesses and asked for a donation. very few declined. Hairdressers will give you a cut blow dry voucher Butchers will give you vouchers for a Sunday joint you name it People will help you just need to ask
