Isn’t that what they’re for? No, same as Matt above, trying to get some sheared and corroded bolts out. I buggered up 2 of the things in the pack on 2 different size bolts .
@West Cork Paul Mine is the hugger bolt directly behind the rear wheel. Sheared. Something tells me you had an issue with this bolt in your bike too?
Actually, those 2 came out just fine albeit with judicious use of Transyl penetrating fluid. One of the ones that sheared it’s head was the small one just in front of the rear sprocket, on the swingarm, holds the CF chain guard in place. I ended up having to drill that out having broken one of the Teng Tools extractor bits trying to get it out.
try left handed drill bits .. often they catch and spin the bolt straight out If there’s any threads proud and you can get a nut on even only a thread or two , weld a nut on and give that a go After that it’s helicoils. .. but be careful if you have a cheap helicoil kit . I also broke a tap from one of these sets ....
Bits arrived just now and job done in a couple of minutes. Seriously good tip re the vice. Thanks again mate.
