Private Plates

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by mike willis, Mar 1, 2020.

  1. Just a thought, are private plates worthy?
I can think of a couple that are brilliant but most of them are desperate.
There's a lot of bad spelling out there

  2. Or would you spend the cash on the bike ?..........

  4. I think I would spend the money on improving the bike.
There's not many plates that I'm impressed by, there's a guy local to me who has a plate that spells his name, cool stuff indeed but if it comes to a desperate use of numbers and letters I must admit it leaves me wondering.

  6. in nz you can have (or could have,i aint been home for a while) any configuration of numbers and letters, providing it was availible and not deemed offensive... mine was inspired by a few girls i went out with....

  8. That's brilliant, I saw one in Manchester years ago that was M1 NGE God only knows how that slipped past the inspectors.
There's a few DUC plates I've clocked over the years, no harm in that especially with the right numbers.
It's all the sad attempts to write their name that get me and hiding the real age of the vehicle, like anyone gives a shit.

  12. That's fair enough, no problem with that, it's the ones that give dyslexia a bad name that get me

  13. I've seen this in Stockport on a white BMW M3 with a blonde lady driving it!

  14. It was on an early M3 at least 20 years ago, that's uncanny
