Hi, my 1098 keeps coming up with error code 37.5 immo. It is preventing the bike from starting, I'm assuming immo is the immobilizer. I can get it started after turning it on and off a few times and playing around with the engine kill switch. Is this something that is going to getting worse because I don't want to be in the middle of nowhere and find it refuses to start:frown:
Seems a common problem linked to the antenna under the key guard not being able to read your key. Link
Cheers Rob that's brilliant. I had a look at the link and funnily enough it happened after washing my bike, but it's the first time it has done it after washing it. will have to try and keep it dry in future, thanks for your help
You should have an immobiliser overide code with your paperwork I have saved mine in my phone. I had the problem a while back whenI got caught in a torrential downpour. I have bought a new antenna but not got round to fitting it
That's not too bad, is that from Ducati or a specialist? Where about in the paperwork did you have the code mate, as I can't find it in mine?
Have you had the bike from new? It could also be a credit card with a key picture in the front. I have both as I have the ducati alarm too and can't remember which is which.
Thats the one I have. I think I read on here that a Ducati dealer can tell you the code if you have lost it. The aerial was from a Ducati Dealer
I'm the second owner of the duke, I've had it 3yrs but that card isn't with the documentation that I can find. Thanks higgy, I will have to give them a call, might be worth changing the antenna whilst I'm at it
Had this happen to me today, right after i filled up. The rain was hammering down too, and the bike was newly cleaned prior to my trip After twenty ish goes of turning the key the orange light went out and it started. Can anything be done to stop it happening in the future, some type of waterproofing?
When mine first played up I put some silicon grease on it and it stopped working Di electric grease may be better but I don't think anything other than keeping water off it will work
Try putting a washer on top of each of the key cowling bolts and then reistall the cowling. This will raise the antenna up a couple of mm and should improve things.
