  3. I’ve found a socket in my imperial American department that will be fine candidate for butchering.
Meanwhile I’m using a specialist tool this morning, cost a fortune.

  6. When it comes to special tools......

For the SS......suspension compressor (one handed). Made from a Victorian cartwheel spanner.

Front stand........4"x2", M12 rods, 15mm copper tube down each leg, 25mm weightlifting bar. Holes through the sides of the feet for 20mm bar for extra stability. Front wheel and forks out leaving fairing on if necessary.

Rear stand.........Allows the swingarm to be removed without touching much else.

Silly nut and pulley tools.........I found two of the four holes in the pulleys are threaded M6
