As I was going to St. Ives, I met a man with seven wives. Every wife had seven sacks, every sack had seven cats, every cat had seven kitts. Kitts, cats, sacks, wives, how many were going to St. Ives? So I reported him to the police. That was big o' me.
A backcountry man gets a job, for a week, on the other side of the river. He has to take the ferry across the river and the fee is one chainlink of gold per day. He has a chain with seven links on it. What is the minimum amount of links he needs to cut off to travel for the whole week? Assume he has to pay with one link per day...
Rabbit is going "to" the river, just 2 monkeys and 2 parrots going "towards" the river, ( ie, they're heading in that direction but could stop before for a picnic or something). The question clearly asks for number of animals heading "towards", therefore : 2xmonkeys + 2x parrots = 4. You're welcome.
It's three. Monkeys are well known to clap excitedly at the sight of flowing water, which would release the parrots (who were meant to be going shopping before they were arrested by the monkeys for not social-distancing).
I’d have said going to the river means the Rabbit is heading towards the river. But you may be right, though in your scenario it’s 2, as parrots are birds not animals.
All Birds are animals too...... And Dinosaurs - have you ever looked closely at an ostrich’s feet - fucking velociraptors with feathers!
