Is yours a DVT because I have just researched these and it says Plug’n’play.

Can anyone confirm this?

You are very correct, I have just read the instructions but most friendly dealers would turn them on for free hopefully.

Wanted - anyone got a red top box and bracket for a 2015 1200S DVT they want to sell. I know I’ll need to sort a new lock but my bike only came with panniers and I fancy a top box to complete the set.

 

The colours are only inserts which you can change

 

Ok - lots of compromise here but...I have an OEM box with silver inserts, and I have the rack, however: it’s a rack for the 2013, the bars look the same as the DVT ones (eyeballed only), but a few extra parts are required according to the diagrams I looked at when I was buying a DVT (the one I ended up buying had one already).

A bit more compromise - the mounting plate I have is melted from a fire. You can order that part along with the extras required per above, or I have a generic Givi mono plate that fits the box perfectly that I can include.

You would need to replace/rekey lock, but I had a spare cut if you’re interested.

Price will DEFINITELY reflect the amount of compromise you would be subject to, so drop me a PM if you’re willing. Understand if it’s a bridge too far - just conscious I currently have a “spare” top box.

 

The box is definitely transferable between all models, not so sure that the mounting rails are though, so well worth checking with a dealer.
