Over 25 grand for a Chinese MG that is electric - and with crap range! Whilst I can't even begin to get interested in electric bikes, 25 grand minimum for an electric car really turns me off. Are you going to embrace electric vehicles, or stay petrol for as long as possible? And I guesss that cheap night-rate leccy will be a thing of the past
You can have one as a company car and pay zero tax, I learnt. If I still had any intention to keep working through my own company then that does make it slightly more attractive, I suppose.
I think, but don't know, that Ducati are going to have some good electric bikes. Be interesting... and a relief that it's not just gonna be all chinese crap....
Ducati need to be on this. There’s a real opportunity for a volume brand bike manufacturer to make its mark here. Suspect Ducati would make it desirable. God knows what an electric Chinese/Korean copy of a 600 Yamaha would look like
I have new cayenne coupe e-hybrid on the way from Germany. stuck somewhere in limbo as my dealer is closed till 7th! can't wait
Trouble is that hybrid is not the answer. Some city (was it Bristol or London?) announced bans in certain regions of ALL cars except electric, the other day. That ban was specific about also banning hybrids!
Id say Hydrogen would be the better technology - having said that if i could afford a KTM freeride e supermoto for work...id have one of those....problem is i cant, so thats the end of that....
Yes, undoubtedly, BUT it is a subject that needs thinking about. I've no car ATM but will need to get one again -a) when I get some insurance money, and b) when my eyesight is judged good enough - if ever. So then, if all systems go, what do I buy? Bike-wise: I don't NEED to buy anything as I've got two Ducatis (both SORNED and need fixing) and I am pretty sure to treat myself to a new KTM. Car-wise: I am tempted to get a second-hand petrol. New electrics are stupid money and I don't need a new car to sit outside all day, losing money, anyway. So, I am thinking used petrol - mat may be an Alfa...
The battery technology is coming along but we’re still a good 5 years away from me considering an electric car. They certainly don’t stir the soul do they?
Just had a quick look on Autotrader. Definitely a used Alfa. There are a few about close to me in my random search. £5,899
