A mud bath absorbs any unecessary leakage and smells, best to do this in a paddling pool to keep other areas of the room clean though.

I use Hibiscrub on my Golden Retriever when he gets a bit whiffy. Diluted with water 10:1 or more. Works well.

Have you tried a good deep freeze? Chest freezers are more efficient as the fridgid air does not tumble put of them when you open the door. Helps enormously with barking dogs as well?
