1199s Hi ive got the dreaded rattle from the end can covers due to the 2 bolts sheared off ive looked at the 3bolts holding the mufflers to the Y piece and no way are they going to come out so my question is can the Y piece and the mufflers be removed together so job can be done on the bench by removing it from the joints held by the springs further up ? sorry if this has been covered before if so post me a link ! also what wadding do you use between muffler and alloy cover ? thanks Tony
Yes you can remove the silencers with the Y still attached. The usual fix for rattling silencer covers is a couple of pop rivets.
