  2. Doing this today.....
Replacing knackered rubber boots on connectors.
    Patience, patience, patience....
Nothing much else to do tbh:mask:

  3. Took tank off today and the male quick Release coupling snapped, brittle as.
Fortunately I had bought a replacement pack.
    Also replaced another connector boot.
    Perished.

  5. Had a few teething problems with her...
Gear lever was in wrong position, so was a barstool to get into first.
Indicators stopped working on way home, after investigation in man cave, it turned out to be a snapped wire on the flasher unit.
    Gear lever adjusted.
    Sorted:upyeah:

  7. Bob, did you replace the boot on the atmospheric pressure sensor on the rhs of the header tank by the steering damper. That one allows water into the sensor connector when the rubber is perished and the water will sit around the connector pins causing odd running and cutting out issues particularly when it is hot. The reason it is turned back on itself and then tied that way is it is a known issue. Separate the plug and have a look in the socket and you will see where the water sits.

  8. Apparently the 998 doesn’t have one on the coolant reservoir with a bit of researching on the tinterweb.
I did wonder what the three holes were for though:thinkingface:

  9. Ha Ha, a better solution than bodging the electrical connector wiring I think

  10. Wow!... she looks amazing mte.. you’ve done such a quality job... WD

is it not an S then? I know from OP it was a BiPo, not sure perhaps they only made S models in mono postos ??

  11. Thanks
Its a Biposto but I've managed to get hold of a Monoseat for it whilst on lockdown and then the spending begano_O

  12. The Termis are rather raspy...my missus knows when I'm on my way home:cool:

  13. The other night at half midnight there was a police helicopter buzzing around our road. Last night on “the clap” the girl over the road said she thought it was me on the bike. It was only when she looked out the window she realised.
Note to self. Try and keep the noise down a bit.

  14. Yep if I was coming home from work very early hours as I entered our street I’d hit the kill switch and I could just about get to mine free wheeling just to avoid issues with the neighbours etc.. X
