  1. No I get it ok.. but if the old man or men lived for ten more yrs or so he would be able to sit in its shade if it’s a fast growing tree.... X

  2. But someone else would still be you

  3. Perhaps a Leylandi?
Yes.... but that would make for a crap proverb and wouldn't have lasted 4000 years...

  8. You (being your personality/ thoughts) are the sum of your experiences, with an undefined addition & effect of the chemicals and basic animal instinct in your brain, imo of course.

If your sperm hadn't made it, there would'nt be NOODS X and that would be a nuisance especially for the forum & West Ham.

  9. I got it :)

  10. You would be somebody else, yes. What's the issue with that?

  11. >>Bare with... I’m trying to understand what chooses us to be who we currently are?

Your parents' sperm and egg, then all the experiences you've had plus environmental effects. Nothing chooses. The sperm and egg meeting are random chance from an intimate event.

    >>if my Parents had not United I would not be, so in essence what stops us being born again as someone else when we’ve expired..

You're not you until you've been created by sperm and egg colliding. Then evolution causes a brain to grow and a consciousness to develop inside that brain. There's nothing provable before or after life to go anywhere else.

    >>What decides it’s our time to be born?

Your mother's gestation. Usually 9 months. Your parents decide when to make sperm and egg meet (usually).

  12. I’ve not said it’s an issue I’m just saying if I could be someone else back then when I was not chosen, if that’s the case why can you not be reborn again as someone else as you put it.. X

  13. Can’t deny, it’s a great debate ... X

  15. Because the you that you are is created at the time of one egg and sperm merging. That's it. Nothing more. You can't be you anywhere else. Any other meeting of egg and sperm is not you.

  18. We are unique to the egg and sperm that make us.
That’s it if those two never meet we never exist but..... I do believe we can be reborn unless we have never been born

    Like fingerprints we are

  19. The infinite monkey theorem states that a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type any given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare. In fact, the monkey would almost surely type every possible finite text an infinite number of times. However, the probability that monkeys filling the observable universe would type a complete work such as Shakespeare's Hamlet is so tiny that the chance of it occurring during a period of time hundreds of thousands of orders of magnitude longer than the age of the universe is extremely low (but technically not zero).

    therefore theoretically we anything’s possible

well no one thing is impossible
