  2. Up to you but before sanding off the current anodising might be worth checking with Mocal directly to see if they are available in silver either directly or from another supplier if I were you, rather than take Demon Tweeks customer support spouting as gospel.

I found Demon Tweeks after sales service to be somewhat lacking.....

    Mr Bimble.

  4. For some reason I have gone and reread the thread from the beginning, its surprising how many of the members who commented at the beginning have disappeared over the years......

I run a fabrication company so if you ever need any little bits laser cutting and pressing that you can’t be bothered to do by hand let me know.

  12. You got the straps sorted then, looks good

  13. Yeh, used Yamaha TZ ones in the end which are 40mm wide :):upyeah:

  14. IMHO those fuel filler caps need to be recessed so that they sit flush with the tank top, either in their "circle" or as a an "oval" around both if you get my drift.

  15. Uber cool project...

  16. Considered this for a while - domed like many alloy race tanks or dished like many production tanks - but the bike, (other than the modern suspension, brakes and wheels) is a homage to the original - so I stuck with flush. This also allowed the fillers to be closer together, not quite as close as the originals were as they were nearly touching, but close enough to look similar in position :):upyeah:
