Ducati 2021: The Return Of Iannone?

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by MassimoVulto, May 22, 2020.

  1. Jack Miller, apart from being a top bloke is the ultimate fearless racer. There is a great documentary about him and his family's sacrifices to get him racing in Europe. His Dad is a bloody legend.

  6. After Lorenzo in Ducati all can be... Iannone is ready to race almost without payment, Jack Miller is a very good racer.... Dovi is tired, he want a new challenge... and Ktm want him for development of bike

  7. Completely agree, unless they are looking to give their clothing line and mens aftershave a boost on instagram, get someone in who's hungry for it.

  8. Ducati have just signed me up on a £1M contract.
NOT to ride their bikes or wear their kit.

  10. I think petrucci has done an amazing job, considering his beginnings, he grafted for it. There is however no denying that there is a simple economy to consider, Ducati spend millions shaving grams off the bike because it's worth tenths, he has got down to a decent weight but he is still built like a superbike rider. I think he is simply limited by his weight and it's been a constant thing for the last few years. I don't agree with it and think there should be a minimum bike and rider weight, I remember Scott redding having blackouts because he was eating so little and James toseland being told he needed a new boot supplier because his were just too heavy and causing drag. It's just a ridiculous environment and Miller has just 1 or 2 small elements going for him more.

BTW, he also has been consistently ascending where as petrucci LOST THE PLOT toward the end of last year. Back on Iannone, I think he is hugely over rated and he's snatched defeat from the jaws of victory on every occasion. He's the modern Gobert for me.

  11. Physical stature always has an effect in sports, sometimes being large gives you advantage over the little guys, sometimes its the reverse. I don't have any problem with it at all.

  12. Looks like they are going cheap and safe so they can save money to hire Marquez when he gets bored at Honda
