  1. Nowt like a nice relaxing walk with the dogs :laughing::laughing::laughing:

  2. Cost me the best part of £5k and nearly lost one of my dogs. Well worth a laugh.

  3. 330E2F37-D529-40B3-8107-40598D09281A.jpeg Thought about a Weimaraner, bigger dog totally soft as Shite - will walk all day if you wake her up first or given half a chance curl up and lay on your lap. Only dog I have ever had that’s so trusting you could use her as a pillow. Known as a ghost dog as sky blue / white eyes until they’re about two years old.

  5. You're the first person I've heard to give a fully glowing report on a Weimaraner - I've been warned off them before by a couple or so people.

Good to hear some good press for that striking breed.

  6. We had been warned the same. Then met a couple of folks friends of friends that had them and wouldn’t hear a bad word against them. Got to say she’s absolutely great. Sure a couple of peeps that were at our BBQ will remember her. 70 plus people and kids about all day and we just let wander.

  8. Just been listening to a woman "expert" on Radio Leeds saying that six dogs are stolen (on average) each day in West Yorkshire.

Most thefts involve (not exclusively) Staffies and Crossbreeds, and most dogs are stolen when either tied up outside a shop, or get lifted out of a garden.

Lots of dog thefts are related to drivers of delivery vehicles, who take advantage of an opportunity and drive away.

Dog prices have gone "through the roof" since lockdown, with breeders delivering dogs/puppies to homes which haven't been assessed, and prospective purchasers are gazumping others in order to get their hands on a pooch.

Once lock-down finishes, there may be a glut of unwanted adolescent dogs available as their novelty has disappeared.

    We live in strange times.......

  9. Dog thefts have been going on for years. Frenchies are a popular target as they go for £3k ish a pop. Divvy breeders post the latest litter on social media then wonder why their front door is being kicked in. Sad but true....

  12. For a family pet with young children I can't recommend a Labrador highly enough.
As small boy my family had one, when my 1st family had 2 boys we had one and when my 2nd family 2 girls were young we had 2. Always Black Lab's as their hairs don't show up on the kids school uniforms.
I learnt that from my Father who was a Grenadier/Guards independent with the Airborne Div's.
My eldest son (31) has one and my youngest daughter has 2.
They've become a family tradition, you won't go far wrong with a Labrador.
When I get around to buying my next dog of course it again will be a Black Labrador.

  15. We've got a corgi . We had never had a dog before and my wife done her research and it has been a great choice . Had her a year and a half so far . Even competed at Crufts this year . I think they are on the rare breeds list now so quite hard to find a breeder .

  16. Ask her Maj??
