  2. My insurance is due and when filling in the Bennetts quote form there is a pop up box which states that they are not bothered about carbon, exhausts and replacement parts, which is good.

My current insurers said that they would only pay for standard replacement parts in the event of a claim, standard parts are probably more expensive than replacement parts anyway. They were also not bothered about an exhaust if it was 'E' marked.

Was going to change to Bennetts as it is only £120 fully comp protected for my 848 and I can get £40 cashback going through the Topcashback website so £82 for the year would not be bad.

  3. My bikes are both extensively modified so I have them on a 'custom' policy with Carole Nash which allows any mods and an 'agreed' value. Initially it was a single-bike policy for the 916 and only cost around £60 more than for a standard bike, however in the last couple of years the renewal price increased a fair bit (standard policy may have done the same?) but I couldn't be bothered to shop around as it was still reasonable (one benefit of being old). When I added the Monster they charged me £100 extra as a multi-bike policy but both are on a high agreed value and custom parts are covered, although in reality OEM replacements are probably more expensive. I may be paying £100 or so more than on a standard policy but worth it for peace of mind...

  4. Went through Ducati insurance, with the Ninja attached as a second bike. Confirmed all the mods and I had the choice to have them covered or not. If you dont get the mods covered, termis for example, the insurer will only cover damage to the originals, which wont have been on the bike

  5. Moved to insurance
