This is my ST3. It has been at my brother's, near Salisbury, since Jan last year. I was going to fix it up and ride it home on the weekend but I had a big Monster crash on the Way home from work on the Wednesday before I was going to get it in March '19.
2 We had a family meet up in January '19 because my younger brother, who lives in Malaysia, couldn't get back for Christmas. I was going home just when the traffic built up for the evening rush hour. I needed petrol, and stupidly, stupidly didn't just stop at a petrol station on my side of the road. I went to get petrol at a petrol station right by Salisbury Hospital. As I was busy working out what i would do at quite a complex junction, the traffic in front of me stopped! I did a massive (and quite good) stoppie. Unfortunately, I couldn't hold it and fell off the bike. It landed on my right ankle. The pain was unbelievable! Of course, I get all of the medical staff coming off shift telling me to keep still and calm, but I am in agony! I get taken by ambulance to hospital next door! They x-ray my ankle and spend some time working things out. "Have you broken this ankle before?". "Err, yes. Many times" "Do you want me to go through all of the motorcycle accidents that I've had?" "We can go back to Brands Hatch in the 80s if you want". They didn't want to listen to all of my exploits as they probably still had a will to live, before boredom set in! Anyway, the conclusion was no NEW breaks. My brother came and got me and I spent the night at his house. The Police took the bike across the road to the petrol station that I was heading to. They covered it with Police tape and the next day I got it recovered back to my brother's house., where it has been ever since!
Just got it. My brother, who knows nothing about bikes and, like most - not most! all!- of my family, showed me his handiwork with the tape!
