  1. I messed up big time when I had the bike up on stands, warmers on, session about to start, so started the engine.
The bike had been in a container on a boat for three months so oil may have been a little sticky. The engine started, the rear wheel span, sparks flew and pit box chaos ensued.
    So can I repair this?
The bit that is broken is the orange/green light. Can I directly wire into warmer without that, or, like some I have seen, upgrade and and add a temp gauge?
Photos are of broken one and serviceable one.

  2. I’m no Sparky but if I have understood your two photographs correctly, both the power cable wires came out of the longer of the two black heat shrink sleeve wrapped wires. That being the case, with the careful use of a scalpel, it shouldn’t be a hard job to expose the break and make a new soldered connection which you can cover with new heat shrink sleeving. At least I’d have a go and what have you got to lose ? The tyre warmer is rogered anyway :upyeah: Andy

  3. I'd agree with the above. I got one repaired with a similar injury.

  7. In case the bang happens :)
I have a set of Capit tyre warmers 5 years old, used for only 7 track days.
Also one more set for supermoto wheels.(used on my RGV250)
You are more than welcome to have a look when collecting the generator.

  8. Watch out that the thermostat works

  9. Good point and thank you. Where would that be hidden?
