Im after the big plastic nut that holds the sender in under the tank, mine has had enough and fallen apart. Or if anyone has a complete sender working or not.. Much appreciated..
If you cant get one anywhere, you can use the nut of a thermostic radiator valve as it is the same thread. The one that connects it to the valve body. TRV can be got for probably less than a tenner then prize the nut off and bin the valve head.
You have to take the plug off first to get the new nut on, this might help. Connector pin removal.pdf
Just had to try the TRV and yep your spot on it is the same thread. A complete valve costs from £7. Great tip. Steve
That's a great tip if you get stuck. I've chosen to buy the alloy nut for £16. Thanks for all the info and ideas..
Plus if you want you can replace all the cheap ones in your house on your rad valves with fancy anodised billet ones. Works both ways !-)
