    As others have said, easiest way to turn off main supply is to use the main stop cock you probably have outside your property (your mains water meter under the round plastic cover).
    Turn off the boiler and open all taps (even upstairs, ensure wastes are clear) which will empty your boiler. The tap body nut is under the chrome tap cylinder cover which may need a cloth covered set of grips to release, the tap body is then accessible.
    It would be a good idea to have a replacement set of tap bodies before starting as they are I believe ceramic disk so not repairable and you may do more harm them good removing with no replacement.
    Bear in mind it’s Saturday and I’m a few Bacardis in
    Doug
    (Make sure all taps are closed before turning mains back on).

  3. Drill a hole in the pipe, call an emergency plumber on your house insurance/emergency cover.
