Going to pull the trigger and order a pair of Daytona Roadstar GTX Goretex . Are these the best for road riding/Touring. Does anyone know if there are any discounts available or best place to look/order from. Thanks.
The Daytona Roadstar GTX is my boot of choice and have worn them for years, can’t extoll their virtues more highly. If you have smaller than average or larger than average sized feet, the Infinity clearance warehouse in Camberley, sometimes has a few pairs at a good discount. I bought my Evo Race boots (EU size 48) from them for nearly half price. Andy
Daytona are a great boot for touring .They also offer a refurb service when needed .I love Alpine Stars but when it comes to touring I always use my Daytona’s ,Evo Voltex.Totally waterproof in my experience.Roadstars are great too.The Goretex version reduced to £350 at Sportsbikeshop

Daytona are the best boots you can buy. The only thing to check is fitment as they're funny shaped. Safety wise they have no competition.
I bought a pair of Daytona strive gtx when I was in Germany 6 years ago as my sidi were crap in the rain. Wouldn’t have anything else now best fitting most comfortable boots and 100% water proof.
Had mine so long I can't honestly remember which ones they are, warm, dry and comfortable. Rode across Ireland in monsoon conditions some years back and they were totally faultless. Forget the price and concentrate on the quality and value.
For road use, I wouldn't wear anything else now (except maybe custom https://www.altberg.co.uk/). But I'd still be tempted to stay with Daytona.
Used - a bargain for someone who can live with the risk of hoof rot and has Size 9 hooves! https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/1843148505...MI0JalzcaL6gIVxoKyCh1t5QRHEAkYASABEgI9GvD_BwE
If you know your size..: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...Road+Star+GTX&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_sop=15
I’ve ridden Daytona for years and just had a pair of Altberg’s. The Daytona’s are better to ride in, the Altberg’s better off the bike. If I had to choose again, I’d buy Daytona.
10 years old now - I had some stitching re done last year people say they look like old man boots but who wants power ranger boots unless you’re MM function over style any day
I have a pair of Roadstar Gtx size 42 . Never worn , still in the box. Bought them thinking that my current Daytona's were on the way out as the rubber gear pads were worn. But decided to get them refurbished by Daytona over the winter and they came back good for an other few years of riding. If 42 is yous size , I would be willing to sell them £300
Don't fancy someone elses footrot !!!! Ta. Bit too worn. Thanks for the offer, unfortunately I'm a 43 erring to a 44. Think risking a 42 for a £40 saving too risky.
Had a issue with the heel when just new but Daytona sorted it, pissed off at the time, but they are a good boot, wear them in all weather, I think I cleaned them once, dont stink, warm and cool and no wet socks. A few scrapes on the toe, other than that all good. Wear them commuting. Good zips etc.
So, for all you lazy beggars, there are Daytona products to maintain the suppleness of the leather, the colour of the leather if scuffed or faded, the water proofness of the leather and to lubricate the zip Andy
+1 for Daytona boots. I’ve had mine since 2006 and I wouldn’t wear anything else. They have had a hard life and could probably do with going back to Daytona for an overhaul, but they are comfy on and off the bike, warm in winter and fine in summer and they keep my feet dry even after all this time. Brilliant boots!
