749 Dyno Run

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by xander296, Jul 5, 2020.

  1. Hi I bought a bog standard 749 and put a LeoVince race can in with baffles in it no other changes, one side of the exhaust end is darker than the other but the bike runs really well, starts fine very occasionally stalls in traffic pulls really well through the rev range with slight hesitation or lack of pull around 4000 if sitting behind something then snaping the throttle to get past, but is this just cause its only a 749, I found a place by me who will do a dyno run for £395 Merseyside area, he says it will really improve the bike, but seems to run well anyway, is it worth it do you think?

  2. If you did not replace the front link pipe you still have one catalytic converter.

  3. Local welder should be able to cut out the front cat for a small amount.

  4. Or you can buy a decat pipe

  5. Hi sorry I didn't mention that the LeoVince came with a decat front pipe so both cats gone

  6. I’d expect a full remap from scratch for that money...

  7. That is what hes offering full day with a full remap, for road use only is this worth doing? I don't have any specific issues £400 is a fair wack

  8. So the difference is start from nothing With a modified engine map at 10% throttle increments opening all across the Rev range up to full throttle both cylinders
Rather than starting with a near enough map that needs a bit of tweaking ...
Eg Bsd Peterboro your situation would be around £200

  9. Thats for a full remap? Anyone know any tuners dyno people near Merseyside
