Hello all. But I am off to test ride and most probably buy a 900ss 1994 next week so thought I would sign up for this site which is a goldmine of information. Last rode one 25 years ago. Fingers crossed the bike is as good as it looks. Wastey
There're a few for sale at the minute, one for £5k in exception condition, also a nice one with just eight thousand miles. Good luck & welcome.
Thanks everyone. I have owned many, many bikes and am a master at spotting a bad one, sadly AFTER I have got it home. Fingers crossed.
Was supposed to be a 370 odd mile round trip to Huddersfield however I picked up a LOT of furniture at Crewe and ended up sitting like an agonized demented gargoyle to drive and needing 3 joints in my left arm to change gear, so I came home. However, looking at the ss carby parts needed post I think it might be just as easy to resurrect my Spondon 906paso/900ss race bike which has been laying ( nowadays in parts ) around the house for 25 years. Although squeezing my now sturdy ( OK fat ) frame onto it might be rather troublesome ( probably even more than an ie ) and may well snap it in half anyway. Much more thought needed ..... and maybe less pies.
Well, how rude. There is NO WAY my Spondon could be called fat, I spent years making it lighter and lighter ! Me on the other hand Might try and scan a couple of pics as it morphed over the seasons and pop them up if your really interested.
