I've the same to do in a few weeks time on a project,the minimum depth is 750mm,waterpipe inserted into a 100mm drainage pipe & sealed up both ends,then covered back in sand / soft materials.
Failed miserably to bleed the Diavel rear brake Who designs a system where the brake pipework is routed from the ABS pump to the rear caliper in a channel machined in the swing arm ? Not a chance of raising the caliper so the bodywork and petrol tank are going to have to come off to get access to the ABS pump and reverse bleed to clear the air trapped in the high point of the system. You only need the 4” pipe/sleeve where it goes through the wall and enters the property, not its entire length.
...but if it's a 100mm sleeve all the way,then at a later date the waterpipe can be replaced without digging up the drive again if required.
I dug out the old Mild Steel Water pipe where I live now was told it needed to be 3 foot deep for the replacement pipe.
Was a bugger Jack! Still got another 2 meters to go! Then got to drop in armoured cable and feed it through 2 stone garage walls into the kitchen!!! May have to just supervise tomorrow my back done in!
I did the digging therefore it was 3 foot, same as the pipe it replaced, 3 foot down about 70 ft long. Once I'd dug down the first hole it was pretty easy to be fair.
The one I’m replacing is 600mm deep, it’s been that way for 120 years. The new one has to be approximately 14” from any other service, which is proving difficult as they’re all in the same trench!
