Just prepping my 749R trackbike for its first outing on Thursday... Unfortunately, it won’t start - the “code” symbol on the dash is flashing which indicates that the key has not been recognised. Pump primes EODB light flashes when starter pressed but otherwise not lit. Not disturbed any wiring recently Bike started fine a few weeks ago. I have done the following: Disconnect and reconnect battery Checked the injector relay Looked at fuses - all fine Cleaned immobiliser aerial connector Removed ignition shroud to check aerial in position Still nothing, just a click. Any ideas please.
Do you have an EOBD light on? If so, keep the left dash button depressed whilst turning on ignition. Keep button held until fault code shown.
I would re-check antenna connector R, i.e. unplug/plug back in for starters (npi) they can be cantankerous can't they? I don't need to ask you if antenna ringpiece positioned correctly, i'm sure it's the first thing you checked?
EODB light is not on. Only got the flashing CODE symbol on dash, which alternates with the temperature display.
Error 37.3 means immobiliser serial cable disconnected. So no serial connection between dash and ECU. It is pin 15 of the dash (orange /blue wire) to pin 11 of the loom connector, changing to Brown/red from the loom connector to pin 7 of the grey (body) connector of the ECU. Hope that is some help.
C'mon Chris, that's becoming your standard reply. The fuel pump relay can throw up a lot of odd faults but immobiliser issues is not normally one of them.
If this is the same relay as for ugly 1000DS (small, rectangular with 4 pins) then Halfrauds may not, but i have one I could bring over to rule out/give you even. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Switch-R...t&brand=Ducati&_trksid=p2047675.c100008.m2219
Could also be an earthing problem. You can try running a jump lead from the negative terminal to a good earth. If the bike starts then check the negative connector for breaks and the earthing strap for corrosion. There is also the earth Fly Lead on the ECU. Also corrosion between the ECU and heat sink, take apart and clean with emery paper.
How does one disconnect the sodding rotary connectors on the ecu? Is there a thing to press? Access is so tight and it’s so grimy in there I can’t see what to press.
