  6. To those who claimed that everything would be back to normal by June

    Julyed :(

  7. But it does seem pretty normal now: it’s just a different kind of normal!

  8. Just had a ride out on bike before the beautiful & not so beautiful horizontal zoombie folk get out of their pits and congest the highways.

  9. Not today, but the other
I took the bike on for its mot, I’d arranged it the owner the day before for 10am.
When I got there the grumpy mechanic
told me they weren’t doing mot’s at the moment and left me stood in the doorway I don’t think he liked my response when I said I’d arranged it the day before, he mumbled something and went back to the bike he was working on, even the owner said he was having one of ‘those days’
The bike passed but felt different on the way home, slow to turn in and heavy feeling. I put it down to me not getting out enough on it and gave it no more thought.
Anyway I was in the garage yesterday and noticed how soft the front tyre was looking, I checked it and found the pressure was .8 bar as opposed to 2.2 bar!
Can’t see any damage to the tyre, no cuts no nails, so it got me thinking why wasn’t it picked up on at its mot, or did grumpy bollox take his revenge for on me for pulling rank on him.

  10. I tested one of them new-fangled rechargable tyre compressors before I took Elsie out for her annual jaunt to Buckstones this morning. Worked a treat, so I'm impressed (back tyre was seriously low).
She started fifth prod (can't call it a "kick" in the old 4 stroke sense) after being stood since October, and ran like a dream.
Parked next to a couple of two strokes once I got there (owners not around).
One biker arrived, turned into a gravelly parking area, lost his front end and dropped it in front of maybe 7-8 bikers. It was a newish black Yamaha - I helped him lift it up and my heart bled for him - we've all been there/done that....... :(

  13. Hooning around between Bristol & Cirencester on my Hyper this morning and had my first engine-management light incident. Power died to about 10% as I ground to a halt in the middle of nowhere. Turned off/on with crossed fingers and it's just fine, but with the light still on. I'll make my acquaintance with the folk at Riders as it's still under (C19-extended) warranty...

  14. Loads and loads of scooters out Devizes way today, probably between 25 and 30 enjoying the very pleasant weather. I think we also saw more bikes today than at any time this year. Had a strop for a while after an inconsiderate horse box driver pulled out in front of me from a minor road without making any effort to look at what was coming or even slowing down, just pulled straight about 15 feet away from me. Turned the Sena off, pulled alongside the horse box and gave the driver some serious abuse. Still had a lovely ride out and shared an enormous Cornish pasty for lunch. Andy

  17. Had a 2 stroke day today, someone didn't tell Simon who has several 2 strokes so he arrived on his 6 stroke o_O

My mate Roger left his RE5 at home and came on his new Z900RS and missed the opportunity of waving at another RE5 coming in the opposite direction - that would have been a rare occurrence!
