  2. Two way matey. Either lock arms out, many top racers do if you watch on boards, or dig knees in to tank. Or third option slam your bollocks against the tank

  3. Yeah you don’t want to be putting the weight through your arms (or your bollocks for that matter).

Hawk racing’s owner also owns Mallory

  4. Love it when really capable riders review bikes, this video is great. For me, I really believe what they say. Not some helmet that rides 10,000 miles a year commuting and reviews bikes doing 1 track day a year.

  7. That's really interesting.

I have been sitting at the back of the seat under hard acceleration to try to keep weight over the rear tyre to stop a high side.

Bumped into @graeme4130 today at Mallory and got some tips and went out with a NL instructor for a few laps. Graeme said to do what the video says under breaking so have it my best after lunch.

Finally got the bloody lap timer to work final session. Quite happy to break a minute at a busy Mallory :upyeah:

  8. Get a proper lap timer mate. Not intending to be a wanker, but 4 secs in a lap then back up and down again either means you scared the suit out of yourself for a lap following someone much faster or the inaccuracies of the timer are kicking in.

You’re doing enough TDS to pay the money out for a real one :upyeah:

  9. It settled down after that, think it was just traffic.

  10. If you don’t feel comfortable that far forward, get a tank extender mate

  11. I can't for my bike, not that I've found anyway. May be block of foam and sticky tape time.

To be honest what Graeme said really helped, just need to remember to do it. It's amazing how much stuff you need to do at once and so quickly.

  12. Yes, think rubber and use a small hacksaw or similar to shape it.
