Hey you,i'd a brand new blue & silver Road king given to me in 1999 with white wall tyres & leather saddlebags,Lol and i racked up 3000 miles in that year & sold it back to the suppling dealer. Also did the lunar eclipse in cornwall that year as well.
How on earth do you manage to wear glasses on your bike, are you sat upright, on the 748 all I can see it the top of the frames!! so make do without any. Steve
That would be me sir, unless of course i've a double on here...........and what did i do in 2001/2002 i went out & purchased another Buell,........nope just love it.
I haven’t managed to ride a bike like that recently Steve, but you are right, the glasses have to be positioned just so and preferably frameless. Was tempted to get lasered after Peter T had positive results but too late now I think.
I have contacts when riding but hate taking them out and have used them less and less I bought some oakley Cross links they fit under an AGV pista easily and don't move or block my vision
Watching WSB and struggling to stay awake because there is fuck all else to do but world super sport is about to start, it usually is good racing!!
Up earlyish for a Sunday and cycled into work for 8am, a few hours work and a bit of finance maintenance after payday. Then a nice ride back and past a house I'm going to put an offer in for on Monday, and managed to get home in a record time of 23 minutes! Pretty chuffed with that as in March when I started cycling to work the first time I made it all the way home without stopping was in 31 minutes! Now got a nice afternoon of WSBK & F1.
Been out with some friends (DOCGB members) from 8.30am. We took in the Isle of Skye road from Holmfirth to Greenfield, then over to Glossop, Snake Pass, then finally over the Strines back to Holmfirth. Some good, twisty and quick roads Been back a couple of hours and the V2 is washed, dried, polished and back in the garage
Checked the tightness of all fixings after fitting and running the 620ie with its much lighter Carbon Delkevics.
I thought about hovering by the nearby bins but at 40c with swarms of wasps I decided against it!! .....better in the shade by rusty shed door was next best option! ......there are plenty more bin pics with this bike if you look in my posts!
Said Goodbye to the daughter, which always leaves a lump in the throat but off to Greece for work. Kind of bored of travelling already....
DIY duties today. Conveniently I ran out of fixings so “popped” down to Homebase, .... on the Pani R. After riding Triumphs for the past couple of weeks my god what an absolute animal that bike is. Love it.
