Back Into Ducati Ownership

  1. Been a while, well couple of years, and won this on eBay last night....so subject to being as described (bloke seemed a good guy and loads of pictures taken) I’ll be collecting next Sat. Next will be exhaust and some clip ons...and a new chain

    Shouldn't there be a cowl around the oil cooler?

  4. Don’t know tbh. Didn’t think so but I’m considering adding a bucket fairing and making it more cafe racer

  10. Didn’t realise they were deep sump 998 motor, same as 999S but different injectors becaue limited space under tank (or something). Suspension same too.

  16. Not same crankcase due to swingarm.

    S4RS has the std heavy crank, not S crank.
    It also has the base cams, not the S cams.

  17. Injectors are the same, yellow, as per 999. You can fit purples.

    They have smaller throttle bodies.
    In the S4 frame, I could fit a 999 engine, 999 tb and 999 airbox, by spacing the tank up about 6mm.

    I have plans for a 1198sbk S4..

  19. I was under the impression that the S4RS ran the 999S cams.... the part numbers appear to be the same. Enjoy your Monster Bradders.
