  2. Very nice @nath :upyeah:

Just back from 4 excellent days on track with No Limits in France, we did two days at VDV before heading north for another two days at Le Mans. VDV was good fun but doesn't have a flow IMO, the final infield section feels like to interrupts getting into a good rhythm.

Anyhow, it was all going well until I was pushing on to get under the 1:50 barrier and managing to left the rear a little too much into turn one. This resulting in a wobble, losing sufficient distance to safely remain on track and hit the gravel on the bike before doing a good bucking bronco impression and closely inspecting the gravel with my face! :joy:

Overall I was very lucky, the bike came away with very little damage. My suit deployed which was a surprise, but I'm sure it did it for the right reasons. My shoulder and neck is a little stiff, so I suspect it prevented me doing a collar bone  Only other casualty was my helmet which @Dibble pulled a blinder and met us at Le Mans with a replacement :upyeah:

I jumped back on for the final session of the day and pushed on during the second day to get into the low 1:40's before we packed up.

Arriving at Le Mans it was toasty, but what a track! It's wide, fast, and flowing  After getting my bearings I set about working on technique with Chris @ High Performance Coaching and throughout the day dropped my times whilst doing full sessions.

This was a big step forward for me as I've been concerned about my consistency, but it turns out with focus I can run happily a 20 min session with 1-2 sec spread between lap times :relieved: The two days rounded out with a low 1:47 as my best time, but with cooler track and air temp I would like to think I could have pushed onto a 1:45 :)

So, all in all. The RSV is going well, I'm now feeling comfortable on the Ape and very much enjoying it :motorcycleduc:

  4. Le Mans looks technical. I'd be screwed round there and be praying for a day back at Mallory. o_O

  6. Lovely looking bike! I'm sure I've seen this at a few trackdays and always admired it walking past.

  14. Back from Portimao, cracking trip with some of the normal faces present too :upyeah:

Finally managed to break past my previous best time set on the old 999 into the 1:52's :motorcycleduc:

The new surface, however, is quite abrasive and slippy offline. Made tyre life a little challenging. Front and rear both heavily ripped/grained in two sessions on day 1.

  17. Terrific video and Simon and very impressive time. Your turn 13 is fascinating. Have to try that line next time.

  18. If the kerb wasn't freshly painted I'd run it a lot more to get more drive out of 13. There is more speed to be had on 14 too, but the front didn't feel amazing on the new surface there.

  19. How long's it taken you to be quicker on her than the T9?

  20. Scorchio !!
