Marc Marquez Out Of Czech Grand Prix

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Robarano, Aug 4, 2020.

  1. This could make this year very exciting indeed, it won’t be very long till he’s back. But he will ha e some catching up to do, but if anyone can ...

  2. Jesus. Stress on the titanium plate required it to be replaced. One can only assume this was a result of his aborted early return. If so, think how much force goes through his arms whilst riding. Unbelievable

  3. It was mentioned by a few in the Jerez thread, including me, that his return was far too soon and ill judged, now he's f@cked it for himself for this season, and could possibly have recurring problems for the rest of his life if he's damaged nerves and ligaments.

  4. There were pictures circulating on social media of Marquez post operation, training in the gym including pictures of him doing press ups which he would have had to done for the MotoGP medical panel to demonstrate fitness to race before the 2nd round at Jerez. Andy

  5. Even with the best surgeons, it's up to the body to heal.

    Hopefully no lasting harm.

  6. He was doing rapid press ups in the pits during the 2nd race Jerez practice, the guy is a force to be reckoned with but, despite his determination to ride, the human body can only take so much.

With the compressed schedule we now have, any injury is going to disadvantage riders far more that usual. As said, this is going to make for some interesting racing.

  7. The year is 2149 Marc Marquez poses for a photo with James Cameron’s Great great great great grandson following his latest tissue replacement Op.

Marquez has been asked over the years why he hasn’t opted for the SynthiSkin™️ Realistic flesh covering but replies that the extra weight would cost him extra milliseconds in his bid to retake the hoverbike world title from Valentino Quartararo mk46.

Quartararo - the current reigning world champion and final iteration of years of genetic splicing in a bid to create a fully organic being to rest the title from the ‘Undying One”. Has given hope to the last vestiges of the Catholic Church who have poured all of their remaining resources into creating a rival ‘Messiah’ To the ‘Antichrist’ that Marquez represents.

Marc himself has always tried to distance himself from his followers but that hasn’t stopped the Church of the Undying One’s meteoric rise. So far the followers of the religion have only reacted with a characteristic shrug and thumbs up to the loss of their Messianic idol’s crown, confident that that their reluctant leader will regain his rightful position.

“Complete paralysis didn’t stop him, and neither will this digital brain replacement” quoted one fanatic proudly displaying his number 93 facial tattoo and characteristic holy Sombrero.

  11. Latest reports say he could miss the next 3 races. Or all the August rounds.

Quarteraro for 2020 World Champion, any other guesses ???

  12. My money would be on either Quarteraro or Dovizioso

  15. quat all the way unless he uncharacteristically crashes out big time and gets hurt, if he does then maveric .... that said, dovi might come good but not good enough if quat remains fit.

  16. Dovi is Mr Consistency...........I can see him winning the championship just like Nicky Hayden did back in 2006, without a win to his name.

  17. I fear that Fabio will buckle under the pressure of expectation at the French GP. I too think that this should be the year of the Professor.

  18. no chance... now quat has popped his cherry, i cant see anyone other than mm consistently beating him if and when he comes bac. . . even then, mm is gunna have his wor. cut out. that said, ive been wrong many times, i thought maveric would have set the world on fire a lil more than he has since he burst on the scene. also morbidelli, i thought (or at least hoped) he'd have been up there.

  19. I still think MM has a chance, he can beat most with one arm behind his back. If a mixture of riders win while he is absent then the points difference will not be so insurmountable. Watch this space, should make for some epic racing!!
