  1. [h=1]MV AGUSTA F4 750S 2002 with under 5000 miles and FULL HISTORY [/h]
Is this good value if I can get it for around £5000 ?

  2. I'd say so. I sold my 2002 plate for £5,500k full service sub 5k miles Showroom condition.

The F4 750's hold there value more than the new generation IMHO.

Great bike for not alot of money !

  3. Got it for £5100 with a service and full MOT, so happy with that :) There's not a mark on it...

  4. I think that is fantastic value, one of the collector type dealers will doubtlessly be along with a cheeky bid I'm sure, the two that spring to mind are the one in likely and john holland in Sheffield.

  5. Good effort. You will be well pleased. Here's a picture of my old one.

  6. That sounds about right money for it. Some dealers are starting to want silly money for these now, but in the real world they haven't really changed in value over the last few years. That may start to change though.

I agree that the 1st 750 is the one to have, here's mine :upyeah:

  7. Right up there on the watch list for me too, I seriously doubt they will drop any further, and lets face it, when its 30 year old its going to be worth money - its got MV Augusta written on the side of it..

  8. Much bloody cheaper than here in France!

  9. I'd stay away from that one, it's maybe a Chinese copy. Mine has 'MV Agusta' written on the side of it.

  10. if its anything like the Chinese copy iPhone charger I bought in Spain the other week it will be fine. the quality of the unit itself was very good, and the quality of the USB cable actually seems better than the original apple product.

The spelling mistakes on the packet gave the game away though.. I always wondered what the wejtht of my iPhone charger was.. IMG_0238.jpg

  11. I couldn't get out today so decided to get the MV out of hibernation, start her up and give her a bit of a clean. She hasn't been started for about 9 months but fired up 1st click. I put fuel stabilizer in the tank last year before storing the bike and it seems to do the trick.

I have been contemplating cashing in my chips with this and the 1098s and putting the money towards a Pani. But one look at her and I can't let go. I'd just be looking for another one 5 years down the line.

  12. Ok, so to all you lucky owners. I've been thinking about buying an F4 750 for a while now. Not just to sit and look at though, i want it to ride at least until the first road salts go down when i'd have to think resale value and park it up. Is there anything i should be concerned about, or check for, or have to really worry about using daily? I had thought about the 1000, but remember hearing the screaming revs of the 750 when it was first launched and wanted one ever since.

  13. i had a 750S on a Y plate that i sold in 2011 for £4.5k (it had 23k miles on which is very high for an MV)...i purchased it for only £4k..there arent many bikes that appreciate in value like that..the attention to detail and workmanship made my 916 look a bit cheap...she had loads of upgrades too..wonderful bike..it sold itself in 24hrs of being on fleabay..

one thing to be aware of it scratching on the cam lobes..this is very common, but is NOT a cause for concern.the Brute is also prone to these markings..go onto the snotty MV forum and there will be a link to an excellent blog about MV F4 750S known issues.

Things to be aware of are over heating, over heating, over heating, over heating, and over heating...check he lower R/H bellypan..it will almost certainly be burnt...to a crisp...also most owners relocate the rear brake res underneath the seat due to over heating from the exhaust...having said that, the motors are known to be very bullet proof...not that much oomph below 8k, and they require a manly touch, siilar to a Duke to make them accelerate, turn and stop..but like a Duke, they are very mechanical, clattery, involving and exciting...they will rev and rev all the way to the limiter with no drop off in power..

I went out with a bunch of tossers who rode MVs and was able to keep up with all of them on 1000's, 312's etc, but it required total, full throttle, almost like a 250....

I loved mine and would own another, but the lure of a 1098 tric is pulling me more than another MV...

One word to describe an MV Agusta...
    'exquisite'..

  15. samsung Photos 039.jpg Heres another one of mine.
I ahd a Brutale 910 but swapped it for a 1098 now all my bikes a re sportsbikes and I miss a bike with a more upright position. If i got one it would have to be the MV that went but every time I get it out the desire to sell disapears

  16. You'd surely have to be bonkers to swap (essentially) a 1098 and an MV750 for a Pani. Just how much extra fun do you think the Pani will deliver on the road vs the other two? I don't think it would have a hope of adding up.
