  1. How hard is it to replace the o ring seal behind this cover on a ds1000 engine? Any advice ? Think its called a side cap. 20200806_095602(0).jpg

  2. It's a total doddle, one of the simplest jobs you could do. :upyeah: They rarely cause any trouble -it's definitely coming from the edge of the cover and not the larger of the three screws? - this has a copper washer on it.

    "O" ring is 8864060 1A maybe?

  3. Thanks chris, yea its the o ring, i have it here but the plate seems stuck and didnt want to force it, i see two grooves one top one bottom which i take it are for leveraging, anyhows i will look again. Cheers
     
  4. You are right, I think it’s a lovely design that bit, the slots are for exactly that: – prying, you don’t need me to tell you, but you just do it equally - a bit left/bit right/bit left.

  9. it is a cracker isn't it, I was going to say it almost seems bullet proof but i've just picked up a strange noise/vibration on mine which is loud enough to cause concern. :thinkingface: I won't clog your thread up, might start a new one, but haven't got seriously looking for it yet as only happened Monday.
