Yes it looks that way but did you do a proper plug chop or just take it out after the bike had been running on full choke?
Its from an 1198s so no choke here. Due to issues the only thing that bike has been doing recently is idling. Long story short I am trying to diagnose the bike stalling when idling and hot (over 105 C) and bike not starting unless under 70 degrees PS, i am not sure what a 'plug chop' means?
Good question, i need to remove and take a look, bike is most apart so will do it tomorrow I am thinking it might end up being something like this, got a few options to try before that but thinking i'll try balancing the TBs and adjusting the air screws and then if that doesnt fix it i'll take to my local bike tuners and get them to do a complete setup including valve clearances, CO adjustments and such like.
If it is just idling then it could run rich and would blacken the plugs. Junk the air filter and see how it runs then.
