Brake Disc Size

  1. Is there any advantage to sticking with 310mm discs to save weight of moving to 320mm or does the better breaking make up for it?

Does it depend on of you ride a 600 or thou as to which makes better sense?

  2. I would think the better braking compensates for the little weight increase.

  3. I run Brembo 320mm full race discs on my V4 instead of the 330mm road discs. The race discs are thicker and I seem to get less heat related brake fade. They also make removing the caliper easier. Andy

  4. If you have a 600 do you need the bigger (heavier?) Discs as you'll have less speed to scrub off and less weight of a bike (inertia?) Pushing forward?

  5. Ducati seemed to think double disks weren’t essential on the 600s and some of the 750s.

That would have been partly down to the bean counters saving money, and the marketing team making visual differences between the base and top models, but the package still needed to be “Safe”.

  6. Yes mate, track bike. Just wondering if it's worth going to 320mm or if I'm better on 310mm for a 750?

  7. My K8 has radials and already has spacers for the R1 calipers. Currently running 310mm discs.

  8. I don't think the k7 will fit a k8 will they?

  9. Are they k7 750 or 1000 wheels?

  10. From what I'm reading I just need different front discs, would you like to PM me a price?
