Update: open to reasonable offers as circumstances have changed. Hi all, After 4 years of ownership I’m very reluctantly selling my 848 Evo. I’ve loved the shit out this bike, my first V-twin and a real change from the 2008 R1 I had previously. Say what you like about having big litre bikes, it’s been a genuine pleasure having a mid capacity superbike that you don’t have to scream like an IL4 600 to get a move on. Saying all that, I’m moving on to an Aprilia Tuono (I’m open to a cash+swap deal!) but that’s mainly due to sciatica and a plethora of old bike injuries. Get yourself comfy as this will be a detailed read... Bike History 2 previous owners (including me, cos that’s how it works) Current mileage 22733 (may go up slightly) MOT due Nov 2020 (they forgot to do it at the last service as asked) 2 keys and code card + manual Service record as follows: 621m Ducati Silverstone (no receipt) 2571m Ducati Aylesbury (no receipt) 4550m Italia Moto (belts with receipts) 7822m Italia Moto (receipts) 9632m Italia Moto (belts with receipts) 15338m Ducati Alton (full service inc valve/shims, Oberon clutch slave fitted with receipts) 18848m D&V Motorcycles of Surrey (fluid service, Exact fit belts and new chain/sprockets with receipts) 19984m Steve Jordan Motorcycles (replaced brake pads and front wheel bearing after mot failure - the bearings failed the MOT, pads were advisory - with receipts) 22383m Ducati Alton (full service inc valve check, which were spot on, and new rear tyre with receipts) The last service wasn’t stamped in the book as I forgot to take it. If this bothers you then I am more than happy taking a ride down there to get it stamped which will add mileage. Condition As you can see, this bike has been well looked after. I’m an all year rider (I have a winter hack so it’s not seen rain unless I’ve been caught out and the Ducati is my fair weather bike) so it’s no garage queen, but it’s been well maintained with no history of scrapes or falls. I’d say there’s around half a dozen stone chips in the usual spots, none bigger than a millimetre. The only noticeable one for me is on the tank, which I would get professionally sorted if I was keeping it. It only appeared a few months ago, which I’m certain is a factory paint issue rather than a stone chip. For the age and mileage, I’d say it’s in very good condition but not perfect. Extras Oval Akra exhausts Oberon clutch slave Carbon heat shield ASV black levers (long) Puig dark tint screen in original shape, no horrific looking double bubble here Superpole seat (very rare and usually pricey) Single rear seat cowl (I have the pillion seat too) Carbon heal plates (the originals we’re looking tired) Lightech keyless tank cap (I have the original) Aftermarket sprocket kit (sorry, can’t recall the brand) 14 tooth front sprocket Cut down baffles so the noise is just right without being offensive or too muted (I also have some original length baffles which I’ll include) R&G front fork, bar ends and rear cotton wheels Aftermarket grips (can’t recall the brand) Rizoma foot pegs Evotech lower rad guard Evotech tail tidy I pretty much have all of the original parts inc exhaust. Price It’s currently up for £5950 on eBay but I’m now open to offers as I’ve reserved another bike so this one needs to go sooner rather than later. I’m based in Surrey in the Woking area, I’m happy to take viewings or live video tours, but test rides are out unless you’re willing to deposit the asking price in my bank (no cash deals due to Covid, sorry). PM me if you’re interested. I’m happy to chat and answer any questions I haven’t covered, I can provide a mobile number if you prefer doing business on the phone. Pics will be uploaded shortly (I’ve realised I’m missing a full right side pic, I’ll sort that out tomorrow). Cheers, Jim
