:Arghh: Guys, I've just fitted an Ultimate Add-ons I-Phone clip to the bike and when hard wiring it to the battery, I did as usual dis-connect the battery terminals, I think in the correct order. However, having now re-connected everything, I can't get the bike to start. It tries once or twice then I get an error message as noted. I can hear what I think is the ETV relay clicking and wheezing once I re-connect the battery terminals, then it stops and when I try to start the bike, it won't fire properly!! Any thoughts or suggestions? :Banghead:
Sorted!! Simply dis-connected the battery terminals again and then re-fitted in the correct order. Job done Now firing on all cylinders, well two anyway:Nailbiting:
Well I THOUGHT I had solved it, but it's back Has anyone got any ideas or suggestions here as to what the heck this might be? Can anyone point out where the ETV Relay is fitted so that perhaps I can check the connections? Sometimes the bike will start then it won't :Wtf:
Its the centre one (marked 5) of these three. It looks like you'll need to remove the tank for access.
Derek, Spot on with the location and no need for tank removal as these three sit right behind the wind deflector panel, which attaches to the tank panel. Dead easy to get at and I believe I might just have dealt with the issue, as updated in the Multistrada section. Many thanks for your interest and help here with this problem, much appreciated.
The main thing is you got it fixed. Glad that you didn't have to take the tank off. I'll be checking the condition of mine.
