Wifey received an email from DVLA today informing her that her Direct Debit payment for car tax had bounced due to insufficient available funds. It didn’t identify the vehicle concerned, but gave a link to make immediate payment by credit card. It all looked good except for one thing? Wifey doesn’t have a vehicle registered in her name since she sold her Honda a couple of years ago, so there are no payments being made. Closer inspection shows the sender of the email to be DVLA Electronic Vehicle Licensing using an address of Jorgebo at hotmail.com It’s a Scam. I’m wondering whether to spam the email account? What do youse all think?
There are a few going around. I get the DVLA one, TV License one and had one yesterday about a refund for council tax. If you hover the curser over or click the sender e.g DVLA it will reveal the senders email address...You’ll know straight away it’s dodgy See below pics..... I don't think the GOV.UK uses hotmail or uses T.V licence motif
I usually go to the form where you fill out all your details and put fuck you in every box....makes me feel a bit better...
We keep getting phone calls telling us the amazon prime account we don’t have is going to be cancelled.
I still get those even after closing my account. Wouldn't it be nice to meet the sender - with a baseball bat!
Today’s scam email was from the ‘DVLA’. Clues: Bad grammar, bogus web address, required bank details. They must think I’m stupid! Our IT dept at work regularly sends out spam click-bait messages to keep us on our toes. If you regularly click, you have to do a compulsory refresher training course. Oh, the shame!
