Tax/mot

  1. Just had a letter to renew my road tax which runs out 30th September, tried to renew but came up with bike has no Mot but it runs out on 14th September so did an Mot check and comes up as bike has a valid Mot,
    Im i missing something or has it changed on how many days between mot and renewing tax?

  2. Didn’t the gov extend MOT’s due to this cold going about?

  3. That’s because you taxing for when the vehicle will not have a valid mot

  4. So on 30th September, when you need new tax, you won’t have a valid MOT unless you get a new one. You don’t get a Covid MOT extension as they stopped in June.

  5. By the 30th you won’t have a valid MOT therefore you can’t tax now - if you ere back dating for this month it would accept
