They've got the gig, now. Today, they sent me detail of a electric bike based on my browsing history - and I HAVE been looking at electric bikes! No more women's incontinence pants, wool dyes, and maternity bras! I don't feel left out but lack the heart to tell them that I would never, ever buy a bike from them! People must do though, I guess.
I get odd recommendations from Amazon and Ebay that is stuff that i have never even looked at on said sites.
Good. It's not just me then, for I have never ever looked for womens' incontinence pants or nursing bras!
I had a recommendation from ebay the other day for lawnmowers, i live in a flat with a nice big balcony but there is absolutely no grass. Showed the wife it and she just laughs
I wonder if it is deliberate so you think their algorithms are rubbish but actually they know everything about you! Having said that if they are so clever they would realise you only looked something up as you were selling one and it is currently listed on ebay as they ask if you are still interested in buying one.........
Spoiler alert - you're thinking of buying an electric bike - don't tell people until you have surprised them with it and your lardy laziness
Yeah, but they’ve moved on from using data from your browsing history and are now hacking your dreams instead
Since clearing down my google account that likes to track everywhere I go the adverts seem less. It even tracks what I watch on YouTube and tailors adverts to that
