still trying to get a L/H crankcase presentable ready for paint touch-up and refit (choice of two) but proving soul-destroying as I discover more and more pockets of paint-lifting/crusty corrosion even on the better one. The original crankcase paint applied by the factory was abysmal wasn't it?

I was about to compliment you on your "Constable" type photography R, when, on closer inspection it looks as though there is some pre-coital action going on in the distance. hard to say really though.

Went with my neighbour “slow Dave“ to Allan Jeffries (bmw dealership) in Baildon as he was having his tractor serviced. Met Tony Barker (of EuroBikeTrans) there and we had a conversation about his future business should there be a no-deal Brexit. It sounds very, very complicated and very onerous on his business, both from a bureaucratic and financial POV if there’s no deal and I’d not be surprised if he packs in if that were to be the case. When Dave’s bike was ready we then headed off to Harry Ramsdens for fish and chips. Must be 30 years since I was there last and it was still very lovely After that we had a ride around North Yorkshire and got home for tea. It’s been a nice day.
Decided to man up today and completed the whole 290 mile ride home from Northallerton in the day. Surprisingly not too knackered although very tired. Rode just over 1000 miles in the 4 days in some of the best countryside England has to offer and in unexpected really good weather. Andy
