Pet Dryer Recommendations Please

Discussion in 'Detailing and cleaning' started by Carbon749, Sep 19, 2020.

  1. Birthday coming up soon, and my better half is looking for some idea's for me :)

Decided I fancy a pet dryer to use on the bike, but would appreciate some recommendations from those that already have one.

    Thanks.

  2. Dogs seem to prefer lying by a log fire if that helps?

Personally I use my leaf blower. It works just as well as anything else I've seen, and I have the added bonus of a clean garden in autumn.

  3. I get confused at these why not get a compressor in your workshop and the get the air tools to go with it ?

    Just asking ?

  4. The pet dryer is heated it's better and quicker than my compresser but both work well

  11. Hi,
I bought the ZanGe pet dryer from Amazon. No.1 best seller. Really happy with it. Under £50. Works perfectly and really makes you wonder why you didn't buy one before? Can't think of any reason why you'd need to buy anything else? Just my thoughts!

  12. Pet dryer?? As mentioned above, I’ve a 2 stroke leaf blower for that type of stuff. Good for drying wheels.
Not good for drying pets though. I have to lock my Bulmastiff in the house whenever I fire it up. He goes mental.

  13. Bought a BTM dog dryer off Amazon several years ago, was £60 at the time. Works well on the bike as well as the dogs.

  14. We use an old brown towel. Happy to help. o_O

  15. Pet dryer costs 50 quid ish (i got one too) vs a decent compressor - 300+ ? and if its running for a while youre gonna want a quiet one which = a vane compressor...even more...id love a vane compressor but cost and space come into play...

  16. Clearly the best portable dog dryer (known as a 'Blaster') is a 'Double K' ...... https://www.petcetera.co.uk/91347-double-k-2000-ad-blaster.html I've got one for our 4 dogs (they hate it !!) and it's fantastic for blowing my dry bikes too. Almost certainly too expensive if you're only buying to blow a bike down. Buy hey...I don't know what you're prepared to pay??

  17. I bought a Bigboi mini, great piece of kit, adjustable blower speed, hot or cold, 5m hose, changeable nozzles are rubber tipped.
    Cost £150.

  19. A great many claims are being made about particular strengths of different "blowers".

I hosed down the mutt especially to demonstrate the leaf blower. I'm not at all sure this would work quite as well on a Bullmastiff, and may be too much if your pooch is a smaller handbag variety. However, the pic speaks for itself.
