Your bloody Not salivating over my bike unless of course you have a disinfectant cloth on your person.
I was scratching my head for a week on what make / spec of tyre for this bike, but finally made that decison on friday morning and a new pair of boots arrived yesterday from Demon Tweeks,& what superfast service from a great company.
Latest Update Well folks after eighteen years having passed by,i've succeeded in reuniting the AWOL commemorative plaque box back with the motorcycle this morning. To my surprise it was a fairly easy pleasant exercise with the original owner. As for the motorcycle i've managed four / five hundred odd miles so far without any problems,it's very similar to the 996 but has more grunt throughout the gearbox range,IMO That's the positives out of the way and now onto the negatives, the steering damper was causing adverse handling problems & i have removed it for the time being, originally i thought it was tyre conditions / pressures but that's not the case this time around. Also the fuel light is permanently on at the minute but i'll look into this later as the petrol tank needs removing etc. .....I'll leave this thought with you, problems are opportunities in life.....if your up for the challenge that is.
One of two things for the damper... check to see if there’s any play in the rose joint, the right spacers are there at either side. In any case, you might as well get it serviced. I think Kais charged £75 for this and they fit a new rose joint.
I did reattached it and played about with the settings but No different in the actions really, but i think your right.time for a service......and me too.
