  10. Started on Bro in law's recently bought 30k miles ST4S, first job strip down and check rockers, R/H closer on horizontal inlet knackered, luckily I've got a good one in my spares pile ready to fit then check clearances and hopefully won't need too much more doing other than oil and filter, fuel filter, new oil pressure switch.

Last owner was supposedly very fussy but you'd never have guessed it looking at the state of it under the fairing.

  11. How’s the TZ coming along?

  12. Day off today, so had a nice bimble along little country lanes and hidden hamlets in the Cotswolds, also got my annual flu jab, early this year as I expect a progressive difficulty to get one further along the line, when I came outside at the chemist I found a lad guarding my bike, said he would not go before he could hear the bike running lol.

  13. Kind of slowed down. Needs a rear brake M/cyl, managed to find a new one for £600 or s/Hand options at £250 or£150. Currently investigating getting a st/steel sleeve made and fitted but need to tout the old one round a few engineering firms. Crankcase and carbs need vapour blasting and then I'm estimating around £1500 on parts to rebuild the engine along with probably another £1500 or so to finish all the little fiddly bits like ignition system, paint, front brake, tyres etc etc. Still only on half money with no end in sight so might take a bit longer than I had hoped but it will get there eventually.

  14. You will get there mate, hope work picks up before too very long.

  15. :upyeah: fingers crossed.

  16. You must have felt the difference with the new tyres but could you feel much difference with the lighter wheels?

  17. Discovered a new thread where you can share what you have discovered today.

  18. As it was lovely this morning I went out for a 50 mile blast on the Scrambler ending up at an old colleagues house in ‘Linfit’ to see how he was after a recent heart attack. He’s only 45 too.

Got home at 2pm only to be commandeered by SWMBO to dig stuff up, thin certain plants out and move them around the garden borders.

I’ve not eaten since breakfast so I’m starving now.
