  1. F*ck those Teslas are annoyingly fast!!

Second time they've taken me by surprise. First was in Sweden back when no-one knew what they were and I've got one up my chuff. So I see this car and think bugger this and give it a portion! (of throttle!!) Nope! Still on my tail. When speeds/cornering started to get ridiculous (and dangerous) I actually had to let him go! Unassuming sedan cruises by....WTF was that I asked myself!!

Was reminded of this in London traffic a couple of days ago. Scything through the tin boxes, out of the corner of my eye, I notice one alongside putting up more resistance than usual. So I gas it! Nope! F**cker is still alongside...So I REALLY gas it...in 2nd. Now my front wheel is hovering 10 inches off the floor and the b@stard is STILL alongside me!! Eventually he had to stop for more traffic but FOOK they're quick!!

I was on my Mutley in both cases BTW!

Anyone else had trouble with these silent gits!! :joy:

  2. You should have kept on going mate. After 20 miles she’ll have to slow down or be walking ;)

  7. Think you did well to hold off a Tesla on a Mutley! I had one of the buggers blow me away once. Wasn’t trying to race it but not sure I’d have kept up anyway, incredible acceleration

  8. You have to remember that they have max torque available as soon as they start moving and it stays there constantly. Poor old IC engine has to build up, usually has a dip or levels off somewhere around mid rev range then tails off at top end, ole Tesla man just keeps on going.

  9. Yep, my old 911 had its doors blown off by a Model S. The only other thing I couldn't stay with was a fancypants Skyline... Teslas are so good in some ways but so horrible in others.

  10. I’m with JC. Batteries.... pah....

Nice front end. 250 mile range  Yeah, at 56mph. Floor it and you’re looking at less than a spirited blast on a modern superbike.

  11. Well mine won’t. No chance. Tesla’s quick up to 120mph then it’s traaa....

  12. Musk is a cvnt, thread closed :D:p

  13. A Turbo might stand a better chance, but that kept me behind it (on private roads) for many more mphs than 120, and then scooted off. I was left looking a bit silly.

  14. Finally collecting my stealth toaster Model X tomorrow after a looooooooong overdue delivery, can't wait to try out that Ludicrous+ setting :astonished::p

  15. FFS dont race them , the drivers are smug enough as it is let alone if they think they can win races against the likes of Ducatis or Porkers whilst simultaneously saving the planet.
If only someone could invent something that would make them spontaneously combust.....

  16. Have you been made aware of a substance called lithium :D

  17. Surely you are not going to tell me that there are batteries out there containing Lithium , this is a known fire risk and despite this Tesla use them in their cars ? That would be crazy man !

  19. He is a bit of a twat isn't he?! Clearly brilliant....and I love what he's doing with the space program (the sight of those two launch rockets landing in unison after a launch will stay with me for some time!!).....but still a bit of a twat!!

  20. Don't even need a Tesla, we have a 44 kwh BMW i3 and crossing London its easy to scare life out of bikers, its proper nippy and being small, hard to shake .... often enjoy surprising all power monsters in cars an bikes up to 45-50mph, had a proper little play with an Aston on the A4 recently, had a chat at the lights, he was amused as I was, his car did make a much better noise.
