No but it could be improved quite a bit. Levering the bike off the side stand when fully fuelled and luggaged up is no easy task.
I agree with steel boss, I feel they will lose more customers from the 19 inch than they will gain. The average GS rider that I know would take one look at any chain drive and just walk away. Now that it has been officially stated at only 170 hp I have no interest in the new V4 (I would rather keep my 1260), I have no doubt when they start dyno testing these things the much larger capacity new gen 3 1290 super Duke GT will put out more power right around the entire rpm range and it will stick with the traditional 17 inch front wheel. I do agree that the 4 cylinders will make the motor smoother but that's not necessarily what I'm after
I love the way everyone pre judges Ducati’s decisions and decides not to buy one before they have released the actual specifications or anybody has seen a finished bike
True it could be 170 actual rear wheel HP but i doubt it....we'll see but they need to stop with the weak sauce attitude. If less than 200 mile range and south of 190HP (min) i'll be voting with my wallet and wait for the real V4 in 2 years time, when they 'magically' uncork it.
Don't get why anyone would make a buying decision based on 'only' 170bhp and a 19 inch front wheel without trying one out. Bikes are about fun and the riding experience, not Top Trumps down the pub with your mates.
I don’t understand (and I don’t like, at least for now) the 19” front wheel and double sided swingarm. Maybe there will be 17” version when the model will be oficially launched. Would be considering to switch from my 1260 to V4, but with 19” and that swingarm, it’s a no go
I will try one but having had a GS and a KTM with a 19" wheel , they are just not for me. No 17" wheel would mean I wouldn't be interested. Its just not my thing , tried it , didnt like it
Looks like it will be able to shut down cylinders on demand . Proper Audi tech https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/rumors/ducati-multistrada-v4-170hp/
https://www.instagram.com/p/CGAFRehIrXz/?igshid=1ssul1gf6kkt2 so the production already started.so the new bikes will be to the dealers sooner than usual. but,on the 15th we will learn more only for the engine.the foul presentation will take place at 4th of november as i said 2.5 weeks ago.
Adaptive cruise control....is that really something motorcyclists want? Manufactures seem to be making motorcycles too complicated these days. Have enough trouble changing the bloody clock when the time goes forward/back!! Be interesting to see if this is on all versions, or an extra.
Regardless of all these bloody posts & views. Even once we have confirmed information from the offical disclosure...we need actually journalists who ride bikes too; shits-n-giggles of it all. Its what I posted a few years back, wanting surround warning system for riders. Of plebs changing lanes without either looking or indicating. This 'adaptive cruise-control' as you describe it @J biker is a little bit more clever than that.
