  1. I have been watching this through Netflix to try and catch up - I started watching just before my accident last year and I forgot the whole thing! So back to episode 1 and start again. Really enjoyed it!

  5. Just finished watching Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes. I watched Life on Mars when it was on originally but never watched Ashes to Ashes. Glad I did, Ashes to Ashes clears up a lot unanswered questions from Life on Mars. Both brilliant!. I heard they are going to make a third series of Life on Mars, but I fear it won’t be as good due to today’s mardy arsed political correctness and will probably lack many of Gene Hunts classic blunt one liners.

  6. It wasn't very PC - that's why it was so good. I'll have a look for Ashes to Ashes.

some excellent knock out one liners

  9. Brilliant series although I didn’t rate ashes to ashes as much as life on Mars.

And yes, they’re making another series including John Simm and Kelley Hawes which will be interesting.

  10. Yep, found it on Netflix. That's me sorted for a while!

I like this new regime. I dumped the TV License and now subscribe to Netflix and Apple TV. Then, when I get bored or run out of things to watch, I can dump them. For news, I pay for 'The Times' online and listen to Times radio - which I can get digitally on all my radio devices throughout the house (which I couldn't with the BBC). So, this is the future and the BBC (and their license fee) can get stuffed!

  11. And I will still save money as I no longer pay for Lineker's lifestyle!

  12. Has anyone actually worked out what the hell it was really about ?? The last scenes were no help whatsoever

  13. I know the writer, he lives in the same village and I used to occasionally see him in the local pub . In 27 years when all Covid restrictions have been lifted if I see him again I`ll ask him what the hell was it all about !
