Ducati 998 Swingarm Pivot Bolt Annually Grease Service.

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by DucRider, Nov 11, 2020.

  1. Hi,

I’d like to service my swingarm pivot bolt from my 998.

Bought the bike a year ago and just want to get it out and give it a annually grease service.

Does anybody know if I can remove the pivot bolt on the paddock stand? So without removing the rear wheel, shock etc.

    cheers
    Nick

  2. yes, but you should support the frame/engine independently so there is no load on the swingarm pivot,

  3. On the 748 you can remove it while on the rear stand without any problem. I do mine every service.

  7. I’ll leave it. Did some attempts, but before I weck the hell out of it, the specialist will take care of it next year when big maintenance is scheduled :upyeah:
