V4 2021 Multistrada V4 (post Info) Buying Survey

  1. I took the new XR out a few months back. If you want very fast, comfy and superb handling, it ticks those boxes and some with all the toys. Super slick. But..
The big issue for me was the bland all or nothing engine. It is a screamer but was very flat and linear low down, felt like less torque than my early S1R. Also vibrations through the seat and frame. If you travel flat out most of the time it would work but if going steady it just lacked any soul. The GS has way more character and at times can seem a bit bland to put it in perspective.

  2. Not if they get 120% more owners from BMW GS buyers.

  3. I agree. I bought my 2020 GT at the right time. 4 year warranty, so I’ll enjoy putting a lot of miles on it, worry free. I’ll get it back next week with the full system and uprated brakes, so it’s all bought and paid for, ready to take on adventures for the next few years.

  6. Strada = Street...according to Google Translate.

  7. I think it’s fair to say people on here are pre disposed to liking Ducati’s of various styles but when 83.7% of them say they wouldn’t entertain a new mainstream model I’d find that alarming if I was trying to sell them. Let’s not forget many people on this forum have bikes from other manufacturers too. Quite a few have GS’s.

Despite the fact that we are a small group to poll, one thing I’ve noticed is that every poll I’ve ever seen on this forum has turned out to be a pretty accurate representation. No matter what the subject. I like that.

  8. :D

Quite bizarre some of the ranting posts on here re the new Multi. I guarantee that by next spring there will be many more saying how great the new bike is.

If they don't like it, go spend the money elsewhere and make yourself happy instead. Ranting is wasted energy.

  9. And Multi means Many :D

  10. If it’s anything like the s1000r, which it is, you won’t miss the torque as you can leave on top gear and roll on happily from 3k revs if you like (although probably not a good thing). Try that on the multi!

  11. Yes. Multi means Many. Many Streets !
    Not Dirt Roads...or even Off-Roads.

You have to come to terms with that the new Multistrada V4 no longer has the features nor the function which attracted most of us to originally purchase this bike. While I cannot guarantee it's success or failure, I would hope that the new bike is great but it's no longer for me.
Expressing dissatisfaction serves an essential function to enlighten the manufacturer about what the customers don't like in order to produce products that fits their needs. If we don't don't like a product, you're damn right we're going to spend our money elsewhere.

  12. No from me simply based on 19” front wheel. Makes handing very vague. Then there’s no sssa, which is a shame

  13. 175 hp wont disappoint and I just discovered their display was award winning too, cant wait to see what they will do for 2021

And suspension travel of 125 front and 129 rear is way less than the 170 on the 1260 models, let alone the 185 of the 1260 Enduro....
Talking about a sport touring bike..

  14. Funny how the Ducati MotoGP bike doesn’t have a single sided swing arm? Strange when it’s so good (according to peeps here)?

  17. Funny how no GP bike runs a 19” front, 170 rear or weighs more than the previous model on release.

  19. So the new model should be called the Multisterrata, and there’d be room in the range for a Multistrada!

  20. Function over form. It’s a touch that I prefer form over function. Plus I like the ease of having the eccentric for chain adjustments
